Humans are driven by two independent factors: Relational Drive and Achievement Drive.
Relational Drive describes how individuals tend to interact with others and Influence them.
Achievement Drive describes how individuals approach tasks and goals.
Combining them gives a Two Dimensional ReAch plot of the individual.
The Achievement Drive extends between Methodical (Thinking Oriented) and Urgent (Action Oriented) approaches on the Horizontal Axis.
The Relational Drive extends between Guarded (Task focused) and Expressive (People Focused) approaches on the Vertical Axis.
The individual is plotted as a specific point on one of the four quadrants thus formed.
The Agility of the individual to behave with the characteristics of the other quadrants is shown as the REACH Zone of the individual. This zone largely drives the changes required and the training needed.
The Relational and Achievement Drives are further split into 5 aspects each, covering traits and skills. A deeper study of them identifies the strengths and improvements for role effectiveness and leadership.
